When you think of what it means to be in Maine, images of a sweeping shoreline, dancing gulls, or the smell of salt air may come to mind. At least, that is what we think of. At Scent of Maine, to be in Maine isn’t solely about just being here. It is about remembering a time when life was simpler, innocence cherished, and when the wonder of nature was close to heart. Every time you light one of our candles, it is our hope that as the aroma disperses, you’ll be quietly transported back to your special time in Maine.
Scent of Maine is a female owned small business started in 2019. We began making our soy candles after our continued disappointment to find a scent that offers the feeling of Maine. Our mission is to provide our customers with the highest quality fragrance and 100% soy wax, all sourced from within North America, to bring a little slice of Maine to their home.
Here at Scent of Maine our products are made of the highest quality of soy wax and phthalate-free fragrance oils. Our soy wax is a natural vegetable based wax that allows for a clean burning candle free of toxins, carcinogens, and other pollutants. We specifically use soy wax in our candles due to their long burn life and ability to disperse scent.
The entire Scent of Maine collection is cruelty-free and phthalate-free. Our candles are made with 100% natural soy that is grown and harvested domestically. All of our products are produced, tested, packed and shipped by our team in Southern Maine.
