Shipping and Handling fees for the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii)
Our shipping and handling fees are associated with a flat rates listed below: 
Up to $49.00 -- $6.99

$50.00 and up -- Free

Standard Shipping 

  • Most orders ship within 3-5 business days from receipt of order, excluding weekends. Please note, orders placed during heavily promoted and/or holiday periods might require additional processing time. 

  • Orders placed on holidays and weekends will be processed within Three (3) business days

  • Please allow 5-7 business days for shipments within the continental U.S. to arrive.

  • Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii can take up to 4 weeks to arrive.

  • Please note that shipping to ‘HOT CLIMATES’ is implemented from May 1st through Labor Day in order to avoid melting of candles. Please see the warm weather shipping disclaimer below.

Due to the nature of our products we try to limit the time spent in warehouses, and reserve the right to delay shipping without notice during warm weather months. To avoid potential melting and ensure you receive flawless products, orders received on Wednesday through Friday will ship the following Monday.

 Expedited Shipping

If you require a faster delivery we offer USPS Priority Mail Express (overnight) as well as FedEx Standard Overnight. Please be aware that this will expedite the shopping once your order is processed, typical processing time is 1-2  business days. 

Order tracking 

As soon as your order is shipped, we will send you an email confirmation that your package is beginning it’s journey! At that time you will receive a tracking number for either USPS, FedEx, or UPS depending on your choice of carrier. The tracking number that you will receive can be entered onto the corresponding companies website and you will be able to track your shipment enroute. 

Warm Weather Shipping Disclaimer

Please note that our quality candles and wax melts must be protected from high temperatures in order to prevent wax melting and/or spilling during shipment. As a result, Scent of Maine reserves the right to postpone any shipments to certain destinations during the hottest months of the year; you shall be notified if this is to happen. Scent of Maine does not make a profit from shipping. We will pack your products safely in the appropriate box(es) necessary along with the appropriate content labeling (i.e. fragile, heat sensitive).

Returns & Exchanges

We take a lot of pride in hand crafting each and every candle we sell. Our candles are made of the highest quality soy wax, pure fragrance oils, and cotton paper wicks that result in candles that are clean burning and true to scent. If you find that your candle or other scented product is not burning correctly or under performing, please do not hesitate to contact us at scentofmaine@gmail.com or call 617-596-6533 so we can make it right!

Refunds will not be provided for any product. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. We do not provide credit, refunds, or exchanges. Except in cases where the product is damaged or rendered defective. In such a circumstance, you will be allotted ten days upon receiving the order to ask for a replacement item. We reserve the right to offer refunds, discounts, or other consideration in select circumstances at our sole discretion. Please note that each circumstance of damage or defectiveness is unique and election to make such an offer in one instance does not create the obligation to do so in another.
